Hello, dear author! I’m so happy you’ll be writing for me. Please have fun with whatever you choose. This is my first Yuletide, so no matter what you write it'll be best thing ever!

I love, love, LOVE messy and complicated—you’ve probably noticed that most of my requests feature exes or nontraditional relationships? Gimme that tumultuous and unpredictable life flavor! I would love any story that explores how often life diverges from the expected path and how the characters deal with it.

Some of my favorite things: idiots in love, pining, it’s right but not right now, hurt/comfort, angst, fix-its, found family, AUs, emotional vulnerability, casual signs of intimacy—like sharing a toothbrush, remembering to bring an extra coffee to a meeting because X always forgets, etc—worldbuilding, and nonlinear narratives.

DNWs
First person or alternating POV, de-aged characters or plots focusing on noncanonical children, mpreg, safewords or kink negotiations, rule 63/gender-swaps, and crossovers (except for Sentinel/Guide or Daemon AU).

Softer smut likes:

Dirty talk, edging and orgasm delay/denial, overstimulation, forced orgasm, coming untouched, service kink, neck kissing, biting, praise kink, semi-public foreplay that builds anticipation, fingering, handjobs, oral sex.

Darker smut likes:

Professor Marston and the Wonder Women

Why I love it: A canon polyamorous relationship and BDSM in the 20s/30s? How could I not love that?!

What I'd like to see: I would love a throuple focus, but I am 100% okay with a story that features only Olive or Elizabeth! From the movie, I get the impression that Olive is the glue holding them together—I like to imagine she's the one writing things down on the grocery list when they're running low or making sure no one forgets a birthday.

Prompts

• They appear to spend most of the 1930s together, raising children and keeping appearances. What goes on behind closed doors? Are they halfway truthful with the children about their relationship? Do the kids know they're related? Did Bill, Olive, and Elizabeth have any other close calls before the one in the movie?


• Post-canon coda? After Bill dies, Olive and Elizabeth spend the rest of their lives together. What is their relationship like years later? I'd love some fluff that shows them being just as in love as ever. (Or some kinky smut too!)


• If you DO want to write kinky smut, some D/s or bondage & discipline would be amazing! Impact play is great, particularly caning, belts, or openhanded spanking. I could definitely see them experimenting with roleplay too. If you include Bill, I'd prefer if he is submitting to either/both beautiful ladies.


• How do you feel about AUs, dear author? I’d be interested to see their relationship explored in a different, though still taboo context. Maybe a Soulmate or Daemon AU?


• Likewise, what about changing the time period? The Old West? Victorian? Regency? Pirates?! The multiverse is your oyster!


• Crueltide opt-in: A scene that gradually turns kinkier would be super hot. Does a darker mood take over? Do the involved parties roll with it and feed into one another, until it all of the sudden it's gotten wildly out of control?

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel

Why I love it: "Am I supposed to find them intimidating? Because all I see is a lineup of men who had to go into comedy just to get laid." Midge Maisel has my heart! She's grown a lot since that first episode, hasn't she? It feels like that woman who wore makeup to bed and then woke to reapply it before her husband's alarm went off is long gone. I love how fierce she is, I love how flawed she is (oh lord, that season 3 finale!), and most of all I love how hard she fights to get what she wants.

Joel is another who's won my heart. He's grown a lot too! Honestly, it seems like divorce was the best thing for them because it forced them both to grow and change for the better. The way that Joel supports Midge and cares for the kids while she's on the road makes me all soft inside.

What I'd like to see: Oh god, I just love these two. I love them so much. These lovely idiots got married not once but twice. Maybe third time’s the charm? I would love to see a shipfic where they are either together or getting back together, but gen focusing on a platonic love is totally okay too.

Prompts

• Can you imagine a future where they give it another shot? Maybe Midge's career has really taken off and she's got a steady gig somewhere. I could see her starring on a TV sitcom or having a sketch show like Carol Burnett.


• Missing scenes from what happened the night they got drunk and remarried in Vegas? Or bits from that summer in the Catskills? I really loved those episodes!


• Instead of the 5+1 writing format, what about a "how it could’ve happened, how it should’ve happened, and how it actually happened" with some bittersweet character or relationship study?

The Orville

Why I love it: If Galaxy Quest is one of the best Star Trek movies, then The Orville is one of the best Star Trek shows! It's funny and character-driven, and it doesn't take itself too seriously. There's a great ensemble cast, but I'm most interested in Ed and Kelly's dynamic.

What I'd like to see: Catch any episode and it'll be easy to see how Ed and Kelly were once married. They still make each other laugh, they remember and account for each other's little idiosyncrasies, and really, they just have a great working relationship most days. Despite the infidelity, you can tell that Ed still holds Kelly's opinion in high regard. I would love any fic that highlights how they support each other!

• Missing scenes! In "Command Performance" they get trapped in a zoo exhibit together that's an exact replica of their old shared apartment in NYC. What memories did being stuck in that replica bring back? Good times? Bad times?


• Want to do some worldbuilding? The Orville is an exploratory vessel, so maybe you'd like to write about the ship making First Contact with a brand new alien race?


• Crueltide opt-in: I said this was a Star Trek show, right? How about some straight-up Mirror Universe versions? Or some TNG Schisms flavor? It doesn't need to have a happy ending! I love psychological horror that leaves me guessing, and there's a simulator on board the ship that opens the door to lots of possibilities...
