This is my absolute favorite AOS pairing. How they both meet on that shuttle at low points in their lives and quickly become friends? I am SO weak for that friends-to-lovers indulgent Academy Era fic, but I also enjoy stories taking place on the ship or on the surface of an alien planet. I love Bones so many ways—suave and confident, cranky and exhausted, tender and indulgent, etc. I think he's in a unique position to care for Jim, as much as Jim may hate it. I'm always delighted to read about Bones forcing Jim to slow down when he's running himself ragged, threatening to relieve him of duty for not following doctor's orders, or perhaps persuading him in other ways... I mean, the man's a doctor, damn it! That thorough understanding of anatomy deserves to be put to good use.
□ Power dynamics AUs are my jam. A/B/O, world where everyone is a Dom or Sub, Sentinel/Guide; I will eat it up with a spoon. It's hard work running a ship or studying for that command track double course load, so I'm very fond of the idea that Jim can turn to Bones and just let it all go. I do prefer Bones be the more dominant partner if you go this route.
□ Accidents happen! Especially when you're exploring deep space. How was Jim to know that Alvinian flower contained sex pollen? Or that the Risan jewel plant would initiate a soul bond with the next person he touches? These are so great paired with feelings reveals.
□ Angst! What if Jim and Bones were stranded on an alien planet with no way to communicate with the Enterprise? How long would it take until they gave up hope? How long until they seek comfort in each other?

Merlin/Gary "Eggsy" Unwin
Real talk, I watched this movie on an international flight and that whole 'come whisper in my ear' scene made me certain that Merlin/Eggsy would be the breakout pairing. I was disappointed upon landing to learn that wasn't the case, but I remain determined to consume Bratty Eggsy/Dom Merlin smut!
□ Eggsy's fucked up big this time. The mission's gone tits up and it's all because he disregarded orders. Is this a BDSM AU where correction is a physical need? Is he just a bratty sub who acts out because he doesn't know how to ask the right way? No matter the case, Eggsy won't feel right until he's atoned for his sins with pain.
□ Eggsy's masochistic streak runs just about as wide as his denial of it. A sadistic Merlin is more than happy to give him what he desires, but Eggsy's not getting off without admitting it aloud...

Mmm, and now we take a turn into the good stuff! I love this pairing with fucked-up ghost drifting. I'm really into the notion of how in sync they need to be in order to pilot Gipsy Danger and how that must carry over when they're out of the drift.
□ "The deeper the bond, the stronger you fight." Yes, hello, can I interest you in an alternate universe where jaeger pilots must fuck for the sake of maintaining their compatibility? Mandated kinky fucking in order to reduce modesty and embarrassment over taboos? Would this an accepted part of the culture of the jaeger program, or is it a dirty secret? Do they trick candidates by giving them a blind kink survey and then oops, it's not so blind after all? How do Yancy and Raleigh react once they realize they need to fuck their secret sexual desires out of their systems?
□ Ghost drifting that starts out slow! Sense glimpses of each other's desire turns into being able to feel the other jerking off turns into messy dream sex where neither brother can be sure whose dream it is. Maybe a sparring session or verbal fight is just the spark they need to finally stop dancing around the issue...
□ Raleigh can still feel Yancy long after he's dead. How about unreliable narrator Raleigh with hallucinations and dream memory sex? Maybe a non-linear narrative so that neither us nor Raleigh can tell what's real? Or what about a time loop where Raleigh slowly descends into madness as he has to feel Yancy die again and again?

Let's continue our dark descent! Never finished the canon, so AU where Carl goes to live with Negan is really all I know when it comes to these two, but you're welcome to do what you like so long as it's still a zombie apocalypse. Quiet sex, thank-god-we're-alive sex, or maybe one of them has a serious danger kink? But let's be real, people are the real enemy in this universe. I would love to see some fucking while covered in the blood of enemies!
□ Carl hates it whenever Negan strolls back from collecting tribute, covered in other people's blood. He hates it, he really does. Hates how much it turns him on, that is.
□ Omega Carl kidnapped to join Negan's harem of wives! I'm partial to emotional manipulation or maybe melding that with some A/B/O worldbuilding? What if alphas could use their scent as a kind of Pavlovian conditioning in order to get an omega to trust them?
□ Carl has to hear Negan proposition him over and over as he relives the same day. What if he finally said yes?
The Expanse
Filip Inaros/Marco Inaros
If you watched season 5, you know just what a manipulative fuck Marco is. He loves to knock Filip down and build him back up, so between that and his mother leaving it's no surprise that Filip would have alllll the daddy issues. There's also so much casual physical intimacy between them! I would love some dirtybadwrong for these two, the more fucked-up the better. Please do not go gentle into that dark night. Here are some ideas:
□ Marco takes Filip to a Ceres brothel to lose his virginity. Maybe Marco stays and watches Filip to be sure he's doing it right, or maybe Marco is more of an active participant than Filip expects. Does Filip enjoy his father's presence? Does it make him uncomfortable? Does he lose his nerve and bolt out of the brothel only for Marco to later corner him with some private tutelage?
□ Marco strikes me as the type who'd have an extensive home video collection of his hookups. What if Filip hacks his way into his father's private folders and discovers them? Does he develop an unhealthy obsession? Bonus points if Filip beats himself up about how messed up it is to masturbate to his father's amateur porn but can't seem to stop. Bonus bonus points if he gets caught.
□ Marco withholds ship privileges whenever Filip acts out, but will return them in exchange for sexual favors. Grooming Filip, convincing him that his abuse is an appropriate way to show paternal love, etc. Filip growing to realize how wrong it is once he's older, but continuing because he's desperate for his father's attention in whatever form it comes in.
